MONTANA INVASIVE
SPECIES COUNCIL

Protecting Montana's Economy, Natural Resources
and Public Health.

The Montana Invasive Species Council (MISC) Scientific Advisory Panel (SAP) is composed of MISC members, scientists, researchers, natural resource managers, and other experts who provide independent scientific advice to MISC on a wide-range of issues related to invasive species management in Montana.

As the state's coordinating body for invasive species, MISC makes recommendations on a wide-range of issues related to invasive species in Montana. These decisions require that MISC reviews scientific data and management options for preventing, detecting, responding, and controlling invasive species.

The scientific data involved in these decisions is complex, so to make the best decisions possible, MISC seeks technical advice from outside the Council by consulting the members of the MISC SAP.
